White tigers are not “true albinos”: real albinos have red eyes, butwhite tigers' eyes are blue.
Fun Fact: Only one in 10,000 tiger cubs is white.
White tigers are breathtakingly beautiful. They have a snow-white fur andstrong, bright blue eyes. They differ from normal tigers because fur, skin andeyes cannot form red and yellow pigments. However, they are not albinos, forthose always have red eyes. White tigers usually live in zoos because in thewild they would have little chance of survival. Because their fur is missing thecamouflage, prey would discover them quickly and run away early enough.
