In the Tinker are the mighty Shire horse, the powerful Clydesdale, themajestic Friesian, and the sure-footed Dales Pony. These were bred by travelersto the UK and Ireland to make for a strong and sturdy pull- and workhorse. Atthe same time, they stayed very much on top of the horse's characters. Theyshould be absolutely gentle and reliable. To date, the Tinker is known and lovedfor these characteristics. It is therefore often used as a therapy horse.
